Inconel 625 Plate

Nickel Alloy 625 plate is used for its high strength, easy fabrication (including joining), and outstanding corrosion resistance. Service temperatures range from cryogenic to 1800°F (982°C).

Inconel 625 Plate is a nickel alloy. These Inconel 625 Plates are resistant to corrosion, and these are also resistant to oxidation. These Inconel 625 Plates have high strength as well. These UNS N06625 Plates also have resistance towards aqueous corrosion. These Inconel 625 Plates get all these properties and characteristics because of the elements present in their chemical composition.

Inconel 625 Plate is a corrosion and oxidation resistant nickel alloy that is used both for its high strength and outstanding aqueous corrosion resistance. Its outstanding strength and toughness is due to the addition of niobium which acts with the molybdenum to stiffen the alloy’s matrix. Alloy 625 has excellent fatigue strength and stress-corrosion cracking resistance to chloride ions. This nickel alloy has excellent weldability and is frequently used to weld AL-6XN. Inconel 625 Plate is used for its high strength, easy fabrication (including joining), and outstanding corrosion resistance. Service temperatures range from cryogenic to 1800°F (982°C). Alloy 625 derives its strength from the stiffening effect of molybdenum and niobium on its nickel-chromium matrix – thus eliminating the need for precipitation-hardening treatments.

UNS N06625 Plate has excellent strength at temperatures up to 816℃. At higher temperatures, its strength is generally lower than that of other solid solution strengthened alloys. Inconel 625 Plate has good oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 980℃ and shows good resistance to aqueous corrosion, but is relatively moderate compared to other more capable corrosion resistant alloys.

These Inconel 625 Plates are made from high-quality raw materials, and therefore the Inconel 625 Plates produced are of excellent quality. It also have the property of weldability. Because of all these properties as well as characteristics, these are used in a large number of industrial applications.

Fabrication and Heat Treatment

Inconel 625 can be machined using conventional machining methods which are used for iron-based alloys. Machining operations are performed using commercial coolants. High-speed operations such as grinding, milling or turning, are performed using water-base coolants. Inconel 625 is welded using gas-tungsten arc welding, shielded metal-arc welding, gas metal-arc welding, and submerged-arc welding methods.
