This high molybdenum, chromium and nitrogen content leads to excellent chloride pitting and shrinkage resistance and ASME SA240 UNS S32750 is exceptionally resistant to chloride and stress cracking. Inorganic acids are highly resistant, especially if chlorides are present. The ASTM A240 Super Duplex 32750 Plate is extremely resistant to intergranular corrosion related to carbide. Due to the ferritic portion of the duplex structure of the alloy, it is very durable in warm chloride environments to resist stress corrosion crackings. Localized corrosion such as pitting and shrinkage is improved by adding chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen. Local pitting resistance Alloy 2507 is excellent.
